I send you this information with a heavy heart because I am aware of the influence that it will have on you, and I am delivering it to you right now. I am also aware of the fact that it will have an affect on you. At the University of Wisconsin–Madison, both Ally and I were able to complete the requirements necessary to earn our Bachelor of Science degrees in the subject area of Atmospheric Science in the year 1997.

This was the year that we were able to graduate with our degrees. In December of that year, we both completed our degrees and graduated with honors. Someone else from her vast family reached out to me and requested as to whether or not I would be interested in making a contribution to this project.

I was asked whether or not I would be interested in making a contribution. Everyone who knew and worked with her will miss her terribly since she was not only a fantastic friend but also an exceptional meteorologist. She will be sorely missed for both of these reasons. Her absence is going to be keenly felt by virtually every member of the community.
