Andrew Tate charged with rape and human trafficking

In Romania, Andrew Tate, a controversial influencer, has been accused with rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime gang to sexually exploit women. These charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred in Romania.

In addition to him, his brother Tristan and two other accomplices are also being investigated. Everyone has responded negatively to the charges.

Wednesday marked the first time that the Tate brothers were required to appear in court.

Andrew Tate, as he was leaving the courthouse, made the following statement: “I love this country… and I look forward to being found innocent.”

In December, the brothers were taken into custody at their residence in Bucharest, and then in March, they were transferred to a house arrest facility.

According to the accusation that was submitted to the court in Bucharest, the four defendants came together in 2021 to form a criminal organisation with the intention of engaging in human trafficking not only in Romania but also in other countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom.

It identifies seven people as potential victims and asserts that the Tate brothers persuaded them to work for them by making false promises of love and marriage.
