Balaji Keshava Missing, Ventura County Hiker Is Missing

Balaji Keshava Missing – The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office reported that a hiker who was 78 years old and had become lost the previous day in a wilderness region to the west of Frazier Park was still missing on Sunday afternoon. The Northridge resident Balaji Keshava went trekking in the Chumash Wilderness in the Los Padres National Forest on Saturday at 8:30 a.m., but around 3:20 p.m., he became separated from his hiking buddies, according to the officials.

Search and rescue personnel hunted for him throughout the night, but they were unsuccessful up until the late afternoon on Sunday. In a mobile phone conversation made around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, the man who was last seen in the Sawmill Mountain region stated that he was in good health and had food and drink with him, according to the authorities. According to Captain Ryan Clark of the Sheriff’s Department, the phone was active but was gradually losing power.

According to the authorities, Keshava is a seasoned hiker but was not adequately equipped to camp out for the night. He was reported as having brown eyes and gray hair, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing 165 pounds. His height was given as 5 feet 6 inches. The last time anyone saw Keshava, he was wearing a gray T-shirt, white shorts, and black shoes. According to the authorities, he was wearing a blue backpack and carrying walking poles.
