Betty’s final request was that there be no viewing, memorial service, or other public gathering in her honor when she passed away. Betty expressed a strong desire for us to observe her passing in a solemn and family-oriented setting. It was also Betty’s last request for everyone to remember her in a positive light, with a smile on their face and full of love and happiness.

Betty cherished each and every one of you and was the kind of person who put her family and friends ahead of everything else in her life. Betty cherished the memories she shared with everyone of you and took pleasure in recounting the events that shaped her life to anybody who would take the time to listen. The news of Betty’s demise has left us inconsolable, but we are committed to working through this difficult time as a unit.
