Charlie Miller Obituary, Death – Charlie Miller, a cherished member of the JCA community who was renowned for his roles as a leader, educator, attorney, friend, and mentor, died away on August 4, 2023. He was known for his positions as these and more. Miller had been a member of the JCA for a considerable amount of time.

This information is being relayed to you with our most heartfelt apologies for the inconvenience this may cause. On the morning of Monday, August 7, 2023 at eleven in the morning, a memorial service honoring Charlie’s life will be conducted at the Temple Beth El in Portland. The service will be held in his honor. This gathering is being planned as a way to honor Charlie’s life and legacy.

Following the conclusion of the funeral service and the burial at Beth El Memorial Park, the family will make their way back to Temple Beth El for a dinner of consolation, which will be offered to everyone who was present at the funeral. The dinner will be held in memory of the deceased person.

The Shiva will be observed by the family at Charlie and Ellie’s house in Scarborough, beginning on Monday evening from 7:00-9:00pm with services at 7pm, continuing on Tuesday-Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm with services at 7pm, continuing on Friday from 3:00-6:00pm, and beginning once again on Saturday evening with services at 8:30pm. The Shiva will conclude on Sunday evening with services at 8:30pm.
