He spent fifteen years as an electrical engineering lecturer and troubleshooter. He was honored and recognized for his extensive expertise as well as a paper he published on Part 1 of the Theory of Power Factor Testing. He and his wife Kelley were enjoying their time traveling and unwinding in their RV on the Guadalupe River. He made friends and had an effect on people’s lives everywhere he went. He was the most considerate and generous person you could meet. Colby and Jarrod’s father, Rick, loved them dearly and constantly expressed his pride in them. He would literally drive for hours to go to their events when he was away from home for work. He completely sacrificed himself for his wife, his children, and his entire family. He and Kelley put in a lot of overtime at the family-run restaurant. He was a ray of sunshine who never passed by a table without stopping to converse for at least 20 minutes and say, “ya mon!” He could compute the cost of any restaurant item in a flash. He had a particular location by the bar where he would hang out when not talking with his patrons, who were truly friends and family because everyone loved him. Obituary
