Craig Hanley Obituary, In Loving Memory Of Craig Hanley. joy anchie, August 5, 2023 Craig Hanley Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you of the passing of our devoted friend and colleague Craig Hanley. He was a vital member of the KRM family for more than 25 years. His optimistic disposition, sharp wit, and work ethic will be sorely missed. His wife Nicole and their three daughters Samantha, Marissa, and Kate are in our thoughts. They were his universe! Relax well… Craig, my spouse and best friend, died peacefully and went to be with the Lord this morning after a 19-month battle with cancer. The daughters and I will always be grateful for the time we spent with him, and we will always treasure our family memories. He was the best husband and father to our daughters, and we were fortunate to have had more time with him as he fought the most difficult battle, demonstrating to us all what courage and faith looked like. Craig, I will always and eternally love you. Craig, who grew up in Wonder Lake, Illinois, was a member of the 1983 state champion Woodstock High School Blue Streaks football team before graduating in 1984. In 1990, Craig joined Local 225 of the Laborers International Union. Craig married Nicole Ponio on October 7, 1995 in Woodstock, Illinois. Nicole was his true best companion, as they had been together for over 30 years and were married for over 27. Later, the couple welcomed three daughters: Samantha, Marissa, and Katelyn. Craig joined K.R. Miller Contractors in 1998 and worked tirelessly for over 24 years before retiring in August 2022. Craig was well-known for his passion for Chicago sports, cold lager, and spending time with family and friends. Craig spent his leisure time coaching his daughters’ sports teams or cheering them on as their number one fan at their sporting events. Craig’s greatest achievements were the academic, athletic, and professional achievements of his daughters; he made sure everyone knew how proud he was of the daughters he and his wife had reared. His parents, Bruce and Carol Hanley, passed away before Craig. Obituary
