Darron Shaw Obituary, Death – The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has made public the identity of the male suspect, age 17, who was shot and killed by a law enforcement officer on Sunday in Lancaster. The suspect was involved in a shooting with the officer. In the course of the event, a home invasion took place.

According to Dr. Stephen Diamontoni, the Lancaster County Coroner, Darron Shaw, who resided in the 300 block of North Duke Street, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained as a result of the incident. Shaw was taken there because of the injuries he sustained.

It was reported that Shaw broke into a house in the first block of West New Street at 12:10 in the morning on Sunday. The property was said to be occupied at the time. A resident of the home alerted the authorities, and officers were dispatched to the scene to conduct an investigation into the matter.

Shaw emerged from the residence a short time after the police had arrived and waved a handgun in the direction of the officers, which prompted at least one of the officers to shoot fire on him. Shaw was taken to Lancaster General Hospital, however it was discovered upon his arrival that he had already passed away at 2:28 in the morning. The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office has been made aware of the situation by the police and is currently conducting an investigation into the occurrence in question.
