Dave McLaughlin Obituary, Death – Because of our beloved friend Dave McLaughlin’s untimely passing, we are in a state of terrible loss. Dave was an ardent advocate for the OKCPS Foundation and a supporter of the organization for a number of years. His passing has left us in a state of profound grief. Dave was a man with a lovely character who had a strong believe in providing aid for our students and worked tirelessly over the course of several decades to attain this goal in a variety of ways, some of which were substantial and others of which were minor.

Dave was the type of person who was always willing to provide a helping hand, whether it was making sure that children had warm winter coats or making sure that teachers had the materials they needed for their classes. The McLaughlin Family Foundation was formed by Dave McLaughlin and his wife Jean in the year 2004. Dave McLaughlin did this jointly with his wife.

Without the aid of the McLaughlin Family Foundation, our organization would not have been able to achieve its mission of making Oklahoma City a better environment for our children and for the children of future generations. This is something that is important to all of us. Dave was rarely seen without a smile on his face, and when he did, he almost always had a witty quip ready to accompany it. He possessed a rare combination of sensitivity, care, and altruism all at the same time.

His memory will be carried on in perpetuity by those who knew him best and by those whose lives he changed via the charitable work he did and the kindness he showed toward others. His life and legacy will go on in perpetuity, despite the fact that he will be sorely missed. Dave, you have my sincere gratitude for everything you’ve done.
