David Kuhns Obituary, Death – DAVID LYNN KUHNS, who was 59 years old and lived in rural Sullivan, Illinois, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 7:56 p.m. in the comfort of his own home. At the time of his passing, he was attended to by his loved ones on all sides. On March 11, 1964, in the city of Mattoon, Illinois, David Kuhns, the son of Menno and Alma (Kauffman) Kuhns, was brought into the world. On February 15, 1986, he wed Dawn Renee Hershberger in Nappanee, Indiana.

The ceremony took place at a courthouse. David is survived by his wife, Dawn; his four children, Jeremy Kuhns and his wife Sara, Jonny Kuhns and his wife Verna, Jessica Kuhns, and Janell Kuhns all of Sullivan, Illinois; his six grandchildren, Tiara and Koleton Kuhns and Angela, Stephanie, Alyssa and Ethan “Bubby” Kuhns; two sisters, Irene Kuhns and, Edna Kuhns David’s parents, Menno and Alma (Kauffman) Kuhns, as well as his stepmother, Esther (Herschberger) Kuhns, and two brothers, Willard and Edwin Kuhns, passed away before him. David was the fourth and final child in the family. In addition, his father-in-law, Eugene Hershberger, was there to witness the event.
