David Pearson Obituary, Death – David Pearson, who was 83 years old and from Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away at Spartanburg Medical Center on November 12, 2018. He was the son of the late Eura A. “EA” Pearson and Lennie Harris Pearson, who both preceded him in death, and the husband of the late Helen Ruth Ray Pearson, who also preceded him in death.

He was born on December 22, 1934 in Whitney, South Carolina. David was a race car driver who was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. In addition, he was a Shriner and a member of the Whitney Baptist Church. His three sons, Larry Pearson (wife Cathy), Ricky Pearson (wife Ann), and Eddie Pearson, all in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, are his only surviving relatives.

He also leaves behind six granddaughters, fourteen great-grandchildren, and his faithful canine companion, Wolfie. His siblings, a brother named Bill Pearson and a sister named Josephine Brown, both predeceased him along with his parents and his wife. The services will remain confidential.
