David Pierce Obituary, Death – Heartbroken. David Albert Pierce, a longtime friend of mine who was 56 years old and had been battling cancer, passed away unexpectedly today. Over the past two decades, David has served as my legal counsel, and during that time, he has been a key figure in the success of my company. He has been there for me through everything, from the best times to the worst.

But apart from our professional relationship, he’s been a terrific friend to me. We attended baseball games, celebrated Jewish holidays, raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and even flew to the state capitol to fight and WIN against laws that were unfairly placed on comedians in the state of California. All of these activities helped generate awareness and funds for these causes.

David was a one-of-a-kind individual, and I am going to miss him tremendously now that he has passed away. A few days ago, I got the chance to catch up with him at Cedars and share with him the extent of mine and our comet friends’ appreciation for him. I also used this opportunity to thank him for his service. I was given the chance to pray beside him while also taking turns holding his hand for a few moments.
