Diane Beckner Obituary, Visitation & Funeral Information Tributepress, July 9, 2023 Diane Beckner Obituary, Death – Diane Louise Beckner (Schell), who was cherished by her family as a daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on July 3, 2023. She was sixty years old. She was the first child to be born to her parents, David Schell and Anna Schell (Kline), and she was born in West Reading. She was well-known for her hilarious sense of humor as well as her enormously kind heart. She received her high school diploma from ELCO in 1980 and then went on to study culinary skills at Luzerne County Community College. Her skills in the kitchen led to a career as a server, during which she plied her trade at a variety of local eateries such as Dixie Drive-In, Risser’s, and Wild Wings at the Reading airport. Additionally, she attended services at the Zion United Methodist Church located in Myerstown. She perfected her own baking recipes and made jewelry as part of her many interests, which also allowed her to express her artistic side. Diane had a flair for the creative. Spending time with her loved ones, both blood and chosen, was of the utmost significance to her. She was recognized for her compassionate nature and the fact that she was always prepared to offer an ear. Diane’s health began to deteriorate in her latter years, and she confronted the many challenges she faced in regard to her health with bravery and tenacity. She felt the deepest gratitude for those who provided her with care and those who stood by her side during her struggle. In spite of the challenges, she maintained her stubborn spirit, and she never stopped delighting in the uncomplicated joys that life has to offer. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister Carolyn Kline (Michael) of Virginia, along with their two children, aunts, cousins, friends, and her much-loved cat Matty. Her memory will be cherished by all of these people forever. The funeral or memorial service will take place whenever it is most convenient for the family. Memorial contributions can be sent to the American Cancer Society as well as the Humane Society of Berks County (or any other animal rescue organization of your choosing). It is an honor for the staff of Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading to serve Diane’s family. You are welcome to share your condolences with the family at kuhnfuneralhomes.com. Obituary
