Frank Rodgers Obituary, Frank Rodgers has passed away joy anchie, August 1, 2023 Frank Rodgers Obituary, Death – Frank Rodgers, who taught at Irvinestown Secondary School in the past and was also the brother of Breege O’Donnell of Boa Island, passed away unexpectedly at home. Our condolences go out to his family. RIP. Frank was the beloved husband of Clare and the much-loved father of Aidene (Martin) Walsh, Eamon (Anne), Alan, Helen (Peter) Campbell, and the late Paul R.I.P. Frank was a resident of 5 Main Street in Beragh, County Tyrone. He passed away recently. Frank was an educator as well as a journalist. He was born in 1940. His educational background includes time spent at Omagh Christian Brothers School as well as St. Joseph’s Teachers Training College in Belfast. As a former teacher at Irvinestown’s St. Mary’s Secondary School, Frank would have been well known in our community because he was responsible for the education of a large number of pupils throughout the course of his career there. He was also very active in the GAA, and he was a member of the Beragh Red Knights GAA Club for his entire life. He played for both his club and for Tyrone, although injuries prevented him from having a successful career in either capacity. In addition to working in the reporting department of the BBC, he also did some work in the administrative side of things. He was involved with the GAA on both the county board level and in writing about the organization. During this difficult time, we would like to extend our condolences to his family, relatives, and friends on behalf of our community. PREPARATIONS FOR THE FUNERAL Funeral on Thursday, August 3rd, with departure from home at 10:45 am and arrival at 11 am The funeral service was held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Grandchildren, sons and daughters, daughter-in-laws and sons-in-laws, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, all express their deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
