Jack Reay Obituary, Death –  I had the honor of working with this beautiful young soul during some very difficult times (Covid Pandemic). I also had the honor of working with his lovely mother, Sarah Bailey. Words cannot describe such a tragic loss; my heart goes out to his family during this extremely difficult time. During difficult moments, we shared many laughs and pizza. Jack Reay, Mr. Rest in serenity, number 25. We are all saddened by the departure of Jack Reay, an exceptional athlete and genuine gentleman.

We will cherish the time we spent with him and honor his legacy by upholding the rugby and non-rugby principles he exemplified. Rest in peace, dear Jack; you will forever be a member of the Uttoxeter RFC family, and your memory will carry on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing you. Jack’s contribution to the team was significant. His natural abilities and expertise on the field elevated the performance of his teammates. Not only was he a talented player, but he was also a true sportsman who exemplified the rugby ethos on and off the field.

His infectious enthusiasm and upbeat attitude inspired his teammates to aspire for excellence in every game. Uttoxeter RFC is devastated to report the untimely passing of Jack Reay, a beloved member of our 2nd XV squad for the past few seasons. The unexpected departure of Jack has left a void in our rugby family that will be difficult to fill. He joined our club with the intention of playing rugby as a hobby, but his tremendous talent and dogged perseverance quickly made him an indispensable member of our second team.
