Jim McClelland Obituary, Granemore GFCormer Committee Member And Senior Player Has Passed Away joy anchie, August 8, 2023 Jim McClelland Obituary, Death – The Granemore GFC Committee and its members are inconsolable after learning of the passing of Jim McClelland, a former committee member who also served as a senior player for the club. McClelland had been a member of the committee in the past and served in both capacities for the club. Jim was a member of the winning team that won the Granemore Championship for the first time in 1971. This was the first year that the tournament was held. In addition to that, he was actively involved with the club over the course of its existence in a number of different ways, such as acting as a mentor to younger players and serving on the committee. Jim, a loyal Granemore fan, never missed a game and will be remembered not just for his attendance but also for the wonderful job he did as an umpire at games over the years. He will also be remembered for the fact that he was never absent from games. Jim was a well-respected member of the community, and it was always a pleasure to welcome him and have a talk with him in the mornings when we went for our walks along the walking route that ran behind our house. Granemore GFC would like to offer its most heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to his wife Ann, his children Melissa, Padraig, and Rory, his son in law Damien and daughter in law Noreen, his grandchildren Kerrie, Tom, Lucy, Jack, James, Norah, and Cara, as well as his brothers and sisters and their respective children and grandchildren. During this trying time, the McClelland family and all of their friends are in our thoughts and prayers. We ask that you do the same for us. Because of the respect being shown, our playing field will be inaccessible until further notice. Obituary
