Joel Martyn Obituary, Death – After a valiant fight against cancer, our granddaughter Amanda was there today when her husband Pastor Joel Martyn passed away while she was holding him in her arms. Our hearts have been slashed open. My suffering for so many people, including myself, is so overwhelming that I can hardly contain it. I am reposting below the remembrance that my grandson Ezra had previously posted in honor of his father. No father could ever dream for anything more than their child. This was accomplished by him fewer than two hours after the loss of his father. Ezra is sixteen years old.

We say our final goodbyes with fondness and respect to a treasured person whose journey through life has reached its tragic conclusion. This soul, whose legacy will forever stay carved in our hearts, has departed from this earthly planet, leaving behind a trail of memories that span the breadth of time. We will always remember this person because of the legacy they left behind. The world has lost a great person whose presence exuded love and kindness to everybody who was fortunate enough to cross their path. This person has been taken from us.

Throughout their whole life, this person was a shining example of the characteristics that have inspired and made a difference in the lives of countless people. Their steadfast commitment to pursuing their interests and passions was a demonstration of their dogged determination and uncompromising will. It is impossible to deny the effect that they had, whether it was in their professional undertakings, where they demonstrated an unrivaled work ethic, or in their personal connections, where their compassion knew no borders and recognized no limits.

This individual’s unquenchable quest for knowledge and boundless curiosity motivated them to travel extensively and interact with the outside world in meaningful ways. One of the most notable aspects of their personality was their capacity to empathize with others, listen to them, and then provide sound advise to both friends and acquaintances.
