John Cullen Obituary, Tarrytown NY, Former Head of the Audio Department LV Warehouse Has Died

John Cullen Obituary, Death – My lifelong friend, coworker, and union brother John Cullen passed away at the age of 51 following a protracted period of deteriorating health. The first time John and I met was at the Westchester Broadway Theatre. In his day job, John was a console technician at the Mt. Vernon-based ProMix rental company, where he was in charge of maintaining their technology.

He was an associate designer for our mutual friend Jonathan Edward Hatton at WBT while I was home on break from college, and I was an overhire tech for the WBT sound department. We both knew WBT employee Jonathan Edward Hatton. We got to know each other and hit it off, and we would hang out anytime I was in the neighborhood or on a break from my job at NYS.

We ran into one other in the city after I was fired from my work at NYS and decided to eat a dinner before moving on to the other side of the city. He talked about how busy his new position at Sound Associates was, and he explained that the chief technician was dealing with a number of health issues. He said he needed to find someone with experience in the entertainment sector in addition to engineering skills. He answered with what seemed to be surprise that I was interested in the post after I offered my services. After a few more weeks, I commenced employment there. The majority of those years were spent co-working with John.
