Joyce Haugen Worcester Obituary, Death – My heartfelt condolences are extended to you and your family on the loss of Joyce Haugen Worcester, my mother, who died away in the early hours of Sunday morning at her home in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Our lives have been significantly altered as a result of Mom’s passing, but we are starting to make amends for it by recalling fond childhood memories of her.

Recently, we have found a few “Joyce-isms” hidden among the tears, which have caused us to smile to ourselves. We appreciated our mother’s sarcastic sense of humor, despite the fact that it may be startling at times. We are making an effort to replace the vacuum that she has left behind, but we are going to take our time doing so because we are certain that she will always be with us in spirit.

They spent a lot of time together doing things like cooking, swimming, exploring, wandering, playing games, and just much anything else you can think of. She was given the endearing nickname “Grandmere” by Packard! But perhaps most crucially, Packard’s mother instilled in her a lifelong passion for music as well as a deep appreciation for her Norwegian ancestry.

We are grateful to all of our relatives, friends, and other individuals that came by to show their affection and support for us. There are a lot of individuals concerned about Packard. His health is in fantastic shape. It was a welcome diversion for him to know that he was going to start his three-week stay at Camp Beech Cliff on Monday, which was planned to begin. Both he and I will not stop talking about Grandmere and his never-ending stream of questions about her. We are fortunate to have a large number of stories that can assist him recall her.
