Kathy Potts Obituary, Death – Kathy Sue Potts, who was 62 years old and originally from Inwood, West Virginia, passed away in a serene and uncomplicated manner on October 12, 2021 at the Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. She was born on January 12, 1959 in the city of Martinsburg, and her parents, the late John David Wasson, Jr. and the late Beulah Jane Jacobs Wasson, both passed away before she was born. She was their daughter.

Kathy held the position of Administrator at RESA VIII for the West Virginia Birth to Three program for the entirety of her 35-year tenure there. When she was at her happiest, she was at home with her husband, children, and many animals, all of which she valued immensely. Her house was where she felt the most at peace. Kathy’s husband, Reynolds Eugene “Gene” Potts; her two daughters, Christina Wasson McLuckie (Cliff) of Colorado and Caitlin Potts (James Allman) of Hedgesville; her two stepdaughters, Beth and Megan Potts of Inwood; her six grandchildren, Paisley, Sophia, Hannah, Willow, Sydney, and Hazel; her brother, John David Wasson III; and her sister, Carol Kisamore; all survive her.
