Kenzie Merricks Obituary, Death – He was born in Danville, Virginia, on July 29, 1942, to the late Ivonne Thompson Hammonds and the late Robert Clayton Price Sr., both of whom have now passed away. Before he was born, both of his parents had already passed away. His loving wife of many years, Mrs. Mary Lou Owens Price, who had preceded him in death, also passed away. She had also passed away.

Robert acted in accordance with the precepts that are outlined in the Christian religion. He spent a good portion of his career at Norfolk Southern Railroad working as a conductor. He was an avid fan of the great outdoors and spent much of his spare time engaging in outdoor pursuits such as fishing, hunting, and caring to his garden.
Mr. Price is survived by two daughters; Tracy Merricks (John) and Kelly Jo Earle; two sons; Robert Steven Price (Marsha) and Michael Clayton Price; six grandchildren; Jamie Connor, Jodi Shumate,

Jeni Merricks, Kaitlin Hyler, Brittany Shelton, and Matthew Carter; eleven great-grandchildren; Kenzie Merricks, Drake Zaher, Lakely Shumate, Sailor Shumate, Navie Shumate, Cambri Merricks, Creed Ballard, Jace Luffman, Lucus Hyler, Kinsley Hyler and Josh Connor. In addition, he is heartbroken to go with his much-loved pet dog, Buddy. Robert’s sister, Nancy Motsinger, is one of the people he leaves behind after his death, in addition to his parents and his wife. She had already passed away when he was born.
