On the evening of Tuesday, August 1, 2023, some hours after Deputy Monskey had completed his shift as a patrol officer, he was tragically taken from this world much too soon. 2019 was Larry’s first full year working with the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, which he joined in 2018. His previous experience in law enforcement includes serving as a Licensed Police Officer for the City of Lester Prairie Police Department from 2018 to 2020 and as a Lieutenant in Security Patrol for the Mall of America from 2010 to 2018. Both of these positions were held at the Mall of America. During his professional life, he served in both of these capacities. In addition, Larry served as a reserve officer for the City of Robbinsdale Police Department from 2010 to 2014, and he graduated from Rasmussen University with a degree in law enforcement in 2011.
