Lauren Vaughn Louisiana Obituary, Family Mourns Death

Lauren Vaughn Louisiana Obituary – As we come to the end of this week, we would like to take a moment to fondly remember Ms. Lauren Vaughn, who passed away in April of 2023. Lauren was born and reared in Alexandria, Louisiana, where she attended public schools and received her high school diploma from Alexandria Senior High in 2018. Her parents, Bridget and Wesley Vaughn, will be presented with a posthumous honorary Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree on the Accelerated Track.

This degree was awarded to her after her passing. Prior to that, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Louisiana Tech University, where she was a member of the Class of 2021. Thank you so much to Lauren’s aunt, Anna Kathryn Vaughn, for allowing us to share the following, which was written by Lauren and taken from one of her prior class assignments; it describes her well and is applicable to everyone:

The fact that I have always held myself to a higher level has been beneficial to my academic performance. I intend to maintain that standard, but I won’t allow it to define or frustrate me in any way. My goal is to maintain a high GPA throughout nursing school so that I can continue my education beyond graduation and put the skills and knowledge I have gained into practice in a clinical environment.
