Lenny Troke Obituary, Death – A longtime adversary of ours, Lenny Troke, died away not too long ago, and we felt it was important to send along the news of his passing to you. This is a news that we are making with the deepest sense of regret in our hearts. On August 3rd, after Lenny had been in terrible health for some months, he passed away quietly and without any issues.

He had been in this state for some time. Last year, when Lenny was in the hospital a few days before coming to fish the Classic, he told us, “Nobody was going to stop me.” This was the thing that kept Lenny going, the possibility of fishing in the Classic while being surrounded by so many other exceptional anglers who were also competing. This serves as an example of Lenny’s dedication, which can be gathered from the fact that he spent several days in the hospital in the days immediately prior to his trip to fish the year before this one.

This serves as an indication of Lenny’s dedication. As a result of his relentless pestering of the stewards and his persistent hunt for a sling while not paying his deposit, he will be sorely missed during draw times.
