Likhona Qingana Obituary, Samora SAPS Community Listener has died

Likhona Qingana Obituary, Death – Likhona Qingana, a lovely member of our Community Listeners, was brutally murdered, and it is with heaviness in our hearts that we make this announcement. He was providing listening services to members of the community while working as a Community Listener for the Samora South African Police Service.

He was a young man who put in a lot of effort, had a large heart, and had a lot of potential. In Philippi, he was viciously attacked by assailants and ultimately stabbed to death. We, the members of the Breaking Beliefs community, are startled and shaken to our core. In addition to that, we are irate. We are incensed that the circumstances in our nation contributed to the tragic loss of the life of this young man.

He was taken out during his peak. It is not acceptable for Philippi, Nyanga, Samora, Gugulethu, Khayelitsha, Delft, or Mfuleni to be plagued by lawlessness and violent situations as they currently exist. Every day brings new challenges and difficulties. The life expectancy of young men in these townships is far too low because of the high rate of crime. Is it right that such a wonderful spirit like Likhona should be taken from all of us at such a young age? Absolutely for no reason.

Is there going to be a response to this? Who is going to take responsibility for this? We are currently residing in a nation that is led by politicians who are avaricious and irresponsible, and these politicians are not making any serious efforts to improve this intolerable circumstance. How many young people have to needlessly lose their lives before any meaningful action is taken?
Something needs to come to a halt. There must be a shift in some aspect. We don’t have much more time left. When the days are as gloomy as they are right now, it is time to turn on the lights, point some fingers, and start doing some actual action. Since young people like Likhona have been let down by their country, Breaking Beliefs is doing everything in its power to encourage them to shoulder the entire burden of creating a better future for themselves by encouraging them to accept full responsibility for doing so.
