Manuel Garcia Obituary, Death – The identity of the second victim, 15-year-old Manuel Garcia, was revealed on August 4 by the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. Shortly after arriving at Renown Regional Medical Center, Garcia was given a diagnosis of terminal illness and pronounced dead. According to the findings of the autopsy, the victim had sustained many gunshot wounds before their death. Later on same day, Reno Police detained a male juvenile suspect for open murder with a deadly weapon. The suspect was 16 years old. He is the second juvenile to be detained in connection with this investigation. Santiago Rodriguez, 17, from Reno was brought to Renown Regional Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead not long after his arrival.

According to the findings of the medical examiner, Rodriguez suffered from a number of gunshot wounds before his death. The identity of the other person who was shot and died during the incident is still unknown at this time. On August 1, at around 12:25 in the morning, officers from the Reno Police Department were dispatched to the 1500 block of North Virginia in response to allegations that a shooting had just taken place there. Officers found a male juvenile victim who had been shot when they arrived at the scene. While officers were processing the site, they received word that there was a second victim in a parking lot nearby. Another young male with gunshot wounds was discovered to be a child.

Attempts were made to save both of their lives, and REMSA transferred them to hospitals in the surrounding area for additional treatment; however, both of them passed away as a result of their injuries. On the same day, Reno Police apprehended a juvenile suspect for open murder with a dangerous weapon. The suspect was 17 years old. The incident does not appear to have been random in character, as stated by the Reno Police Department, and there is no danger to the general public at this time. The individuals involved, according to the police, knew each other. The investigation is still going on at this time.
