Mary Perry Obituary, Goldsboro NC Woman Died In Car Accident joy anchie, August 7, 2023 Mary Perry Obituary, Death – At Ross Manor in Bangor, Mary Cecelia Perry, 94, died away quietly on April 16, 2023, surrounded by her devoted family. On October 10, 1928, she was born in Bangor, Maine, to parents Margaret Mary (Riley) and John Constantine Ryder Sr. Both of her parents and she were born and reared on Grove Street. She was a student at John Bapst High School and St. John’s Grammar School. She started a long career at the New England Telephone Company after graduating. She was a longtime Telephone Pioneers member after retiring, and she volunteered with The Attic for many years. She wed Byron Joseph “Joe” Perry in February 1959, and they later moved to Veazie to raise their six children. Her husband of 58 years passed away before her in 2017. Up until a few weeks before she passed away, she was able to continue living in the Veazie family home. Her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her sister Elaine and her nephews Michael Higgins, Joey Higgins, and Paul Woodcock, brought her much joy. She was renowned for her sharp wit, sense of humor, and most importantly, her warmth and friendliness. In addition to her six children, Patrick and his wife MJ of Shelburne, Vermont, Timothy of Bangor, Susan Burke of Veazie, William and his wife Amy of Sugar Land, Texas, Joseph and his wife Jane of Bangor, and Janice Crump and her husband Ken of Bangor, she is also survived by her sister Elaine Higgins, sisters-in-law Alice Ellsworth and Beverly Perry, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her parents, brothers Franny and Jack, and infant sister Noreen preceded her in death. Obituary
