Michael Heistand Accident, Dunlap Iowa, Man Died After Being Trapped In Grain Bin

Michael Heistand Obituary, Death – The body of a man who had been unable to free himself from a grain bin was discovered on Wednesday afternoon. A call was received at the Crawford County Communications Center at approximately 4:10 p.m. stating that a person was trapped within a grain bin at 1546 O’Banion Road. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was the one who passed over this information to us. Multiple agencies reacted after getting the call, and when they arrived at the scene, they discovered that Michael Tom Heistand, age 41, who was originally from Dunlap, Iowa, had been located deceased at the spot.
