Neal Cornett Obituary, Death –  On August 5, 2023, Neal Cornett, who had lived most of his life in Bardstown, Kentucky, passed away at Sanders Ridge in Mt. Washington. He was 88 years old. On August 12th, 1934, he was born in the town of Little Leatherwood, which is located in the state of Kentucky. In addition to being the owner of Neal Cornett Photography and having previously worked at the Bardstown Post Office until his retirement, he was also a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Bowling and golf were two activities that Neal enjoyed doing in his spare time, in addition to spending time with his family. Bev and Hattie Cornett, two of his brothers, Wendell and Gayle, and two of his sisters, Cleda Watts and Toots Maggard, all passed away before he did. His parents were both named Cornett. Wendell Cornett, his brother, is the only person who will go on after him.

He is survived by three children, Diana Leachman (Steve), Doug Cornett (Cheryl) and Amanda Phelps (Jake); seven grandchildren, Jeremy Delk (Maggie), Joshua Delk (Rachel), Andrea Leachman Emory (Sean), Jacob Leachman, Allison Allen (Benton), Roland Phelps and Reagan Phelps; five great-grandchildren, Isabella Delk, Graham Delk, Ava Delk, Elijah Allen and Evelynn Allen; two sisters Vanzell Cornett and Zula Hay; and several nieces and nephews.

On August 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM, his funeral will be held at the Barlow Funeral Home, and after the service, he will be laid to rest in the Bardstown Cemetery. The funeral will take place on August 9, 2023. Bro. Rodney Lynch is going to act as the master of ceremonies for the event. The viewing will take place in the evening, beginning at four and ending at eight o’clock. At the Barlow Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on the morning of Tuesday, August 8, 2023, as well as on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
