Paul Lamison Obituary, Tampa FL, In Loving Remembrance Of WFLA Chief Photojournalist joy anchie, August 4, 2023 Paul Lamison Obituary, Death – After suffering a heart attack earlier on August 3, the day of his passing, Paul Lamison, who was the head photojournalist at WFLA, passed suddenly. When the event in issue took place, he was just 57 years old. After he passes away, his wife and their daughters, along with a number of his siblings, will go on living their lives as they had before his passing. Paul had a huge impact not only on those of us working here at News Channel 8, but also on the larger Tampa Bay (Florida) area as a whole. He was an indispensable member of our morning crew and acted as our “eye in the sky” on the Eagle 8 news chopper, where he observed everything from the morning commute to the Gasparilla parade. In this capacity, he was a key witness to all of these events. Because he was sitting in the helicopter, he was able to observe all of these happenings from an entirely new angle. As a direct result of this, the overwhelming majority of viewers most likely recognized him as the individual who held the seat that was located in the most advantageous location within the venue. On the other hand, that was not at all how we interpreted him in any way at all. Obituary
