Peter Cassidys Obituary, Cambridge FC Member Has Passed Away joy anchie, August 8, 2023 Peter Cassidys Obituary, Death – It’s difficult to find the right words to express how I feel about the passing of Peter Cassidy today. There is always a Peter Cassidy in every community and in every club; he is the unassuming person who works hard behind the scenes and does the work that no one notices or appreciates. Nothing was ever a problem for him, and the CLUB was always the primary focus of his attention. When we would get together, especially on club nights out, he would always ask the same question: “How’s everything going with the club?” Despite this, he was always there helping out with the various menial tasks that had to be completed. The remark made by his close friend Joe Smyth, who simply stated that “Peter was the rock within the Cambridge fc club,” is regarded as one of the most sincere compliments ever given. There is, in fact, no higher compliment. At this most difficult time, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Peter’s family. Peter left England and moved to America in 1957. The most of his life was spent in the town of Woodstock. He rode about on “Blackie,” his favorite Harley, as much as he could. During their tours together, he and his “Buddies” had a lot of fun. Peter was an avid fisherman who also liked to travel and go on adventures in the Caribbean, the Northwest Territories, and along the coast of British Columbia. Peter enjoyed going to new places, was an excellent conversationalist, and was known for his attentive listening skills. He was always there to provide a helping hand and offer words of encouragement. His loved ones and friends will certainly miss him very much. Obituary
