Peter Dalglish Obituary, Toronto Ontario, Peter Dalglish has died Tributepress, August 4, 2023 Peter Dalglish Obituary, Death – We are sorry to notify you of the demise of Peter Dalglish, who passed away unexpectedly in Grafton, Ontario, when he was ninety years old. Peter was a devoted spouse to Camilla (née Weston) for the entire 59 years that they were together. He was the most devoted father and greatest friend to Kim, Geordie (Swith), and Genevieve (who was taken from this world too soon). His grandchildren call him “Pete,” and their names are Sarah, Luke, Alexandra, Benjamin, Louisa, Marigold, and George. His seven great-grandchildren call him “Pete.” He accomplished this goal by taking them to his cherished home on Smoke Lake in Algonquin Park and to Strawberry Hill Farm not far from Grafton, Ontario, where he promoted hobbies such as canoeing and painting. Both of these locations are located in the great outdoors. Peter used to constantly plant thousands of trees over his property when he was younger and still had a farm. It brought him a great deal of satisfaction to see how far they’d come. In his later years, his black angus cows and the calves they produced offered him a great deal of enjoyment, and he delighted in each new addition to his herd. Peter was honored with the French Governor’s Award for Fine Art while he was a student at Upper Canada College in Ontario and The Ontario College of Art in Ontario. Both schools are located in Ontario. Friendships that he developed at Upper Canada College have remained with him throughout his entire life. Both Ridpath’s Fine Furniture and the Grafton Village Inn were under Peter’s management for a combined total of forty-five years. He had a deep appreciation for the arts and was a devoted follower of musical acts such as Opera Atelier and OCAD. Additionally, he was an active participant in the club’s painting sessions as a member of the Arts and Letters Club. Peter adhered to the principles of Christian Science, and he was an active member of the local church. Everyone around him benefited from his positive influence, as he was the kind of person that held firm convictions in whatever he did. On Thursday, August 10, at 11 in the morning, there will be a memorial service as well as a celebration of Peter’s life that will take place at The Grafton Village Inn. Obituary
