Peter Hyde Obituary, Hamilton Harness Racing Club Member has died joy anchie, August 7, 2023 Peter Hyde Obituary, Death – The passing of Peter Hyde, one of our life members, who was also a devoted supporter, sponsor, and friend, caused the club to feel an overwhelming sense of loss. Peter Hyde had been involved with the club for a very long time. Peter Hyde had been a member of the club for a considerable amount of time. Since Peter initiated our custom of conducting an annual Cup meeting fifty years ago. He has had the privilege of presenting two gold watches to each of the winning drivers of the Pacing Cup and the Trotting Cup. During this time, he has also had the opportunity to bestow this distinction upon himself. Mrytle, his entire extended family, and all of his close friends have our sincerest sympathies. We know this is a difficult time for all of you. This next Thursday, August 10th, at 10am, the ceremony to say goodbye to Peter will take place at the Cavendish Hall. The location of the ceremony has not yet been determined. Because of this, I feel like the absolute worst person imaginable. Peter was the embodiment of what it meant to be a cherished figure in the community, and he took a great deal of pride in the fact that the club counted him as a member. He was the most passionate guy I have ever met, and he was always up for a conversation regardless of the subject matter. Throughout the years, some of the people dad gave watches to, including Chris Alford, Jason Lee, Kate Gath, and Greg Sugars, are some of the most cherished memories I have of him. The other members of the group receiving watches as gifts from him is another warm and fuzzy memory of mine. Peter, I am going to miss you. Obituary
