Peter Rich Obituary, Death –  Peter Rich was an inductee, thus it is with great grief that we must notify you of his passing. Below is a note from Peter’s daughter and wife that was sent to us this morning.Last night, Peter Rich climbed his last hill alongside his wife Rose Marie and daughter Julie. For each of them, it was an emotional time.” It happened quickly and easily—much faster than we had anticipated.

It looked like he was sleeping or deep in meditation when we left. I would like to convey my gratitude for everyone’s generosity in giving me love and support. We are overwhelmed by an indescribable sense of gratitude for the many people from Peter’s life who have contacted us with supportive messages, stories, and contributions of every kind. Even though we are still in a state of shock, we will shortly begin making arrangements for a memorial.

I would appreciate it if you could email me any pictures you might have of Peter Rich. At the memorial service given in his honor, I will set up a slide exhibition to be shown. If you know of a suitable place with a public address system and the ability to show slides, kindly email this information to them. Peter was well-liked, and we would want the chance for those whose lives he affected to take part in what we are doing right now.

Julie and her sister Rose Marie want to express their gratitude. As many of you know, on October 7 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Peter will be officially inducted into the USBHOF. Knowing that Peter received a briefing on this distinction sometime in the first few days of May is consoling.
