Phil Ward Obituary, Death – On Monday, July 31, we were shocked to learn that our Interim Manager, Phil Ward, had passed away unexpectedly. It is with deep regret that we must break the news to you. As we share this news with you, it weighs heavily on all of our hearts. After Phil joined Community INC for the very first time in 2009, he quickly rose through the ranks to become the organization’s first job developer.

After working in that capacity for three years, he moved to the city but continued to work in the career development field. First, he worked as a job developer for Team Work Cooperative, and subsequently, he worked as a Registrar for the Nova Scotia Career Development Association. Both of these positions are still held by him. Since that time, he has been active in each of these roles simultaneously.

After moving back to the valley, he rejoined our team at Community INC in the spring of the previous year and was given the job of interim operations manager as a result of his return to the organization. Phil is going to be much missed due to the excellent sense of humor he has, the giving attitude he possessed, and the desire he had to go out of his way to aid other people. We consider ourselves really fortunate to have had the chance to get to know him, to work with him, and to be friends with him. We want his partner, children, relatives, and the many, many friends he leaves behind to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
