Prosecutors Reveal How They Believe Harmony Montgomery’s Dad Killed Her and Hid Her Body For Months Afterward

According to an affidavit that was just recently made public, Harmony Montgomery’s father is suspected of killing his daughter, who was five years old at the time, and then hiding her body for a number of months before finally disposing of it. The affidavit contains gory details about how he allegedly committed these acts.

According to the Associated Press, Adam Montgomery, 33, pled not guilty in October to accusations of second-degree murder, manipulating physical evidence, and mistreatment of a corpse. He is accused of committing these acts in conjunction with one another.

In November of 2021, it was announced that his daughter Harmony had gone missing. The court documents that were previously sealed but have now been unsealed shed light on the alleged events that took place in the two years leading up to the girl’s disappearance.

The majority of the interviews in the 48-page affidavit of probable cause, which was released in its entirety by Law & Crime, were conducted with Montgomery’s estranged wife, Kayla Montgomery, who was Harmony’s stepmother. Kayla Montgomery is 32 years old. After acknowledging she had previously lied in front of a grand jury, she agreed to cooperate with prosecutors as part of a plea deal.

According to the information provided by Kayla, Montgomery killed his daughter by striking her in the face or head with a closed fist on December 7, 2019, the day she passed away. After the couple was evicted in November of 2019, they were forced to live out of their Chrysler Sebring. According to the allegations, Montgomery would become irate if Harmony had the need to use the loo or experienced an accident in the vehicle.
