Richard Lamb Obituary,  Death – Richard Lamb was a dedicated member of the 1env team and a steady presence in the industry. The BPCA Staff team and Executive Board are extremely grieved to learn of his passing. After a long and courageous fight against liver illness, Richard passed away on June 26th, 2023. Lyn, his devoted wife, is the only person he leaves behind. industry-mourns-passing-of-richard-lamb.

Richard was a devoted and knowledgeable pest professional who worked as a part of the 1env Technical and Sales team. He also volunteered his time for the BPCA. He had more than 30 years of expertise in the sector, and he was always pleased to share his knowledge with others. “Richard was a familiar face at PestEx, PPC Live, and BPCA Forums,” says Lauren Day, who is the BPCA Events Manager. “He was also never too busy to help with a PPC magazine article if asked,” adds Day.

“His technical expertise was extensive, and he was always willing to educate, assisting those in the sector to learn and advance in their careers. We will miss chatting with him and seeing him at events since he was committed, reliable, and passionate about what he did. Ian Andrew, Chief Executive of the BPCA, added as follows: “In addition to that, Richard spent the previous five years serving on the BPCA Manufacturers and Distributors Committee.

“Richard was always ready and willing to support BPCA, and he always had a cheery word for all of our members who he engaged with,” said the president of the association. The British Pest Control Association and the larger pest control profession will mourn his passing very deeply. Sarah Holland, who serves as the Events Officer for the BPCA and as the minutes secretary for the M&D Committee, also offered her condolences. In her words: “Having a conversation with Richard was always a delight. Because I root for Derby County, we used to pick on each other over our opposing soccer teams. He was a huge fan of football, and Leeds in particular.
