Robert McCay Obituary, Madisonville, KY, Robert Francis McCay Has Passed Away joy anchie, August 2, 2023 Robert McCay Obituary, Death – Robert Francis McCay, who was 54 years old and a resident of Madisonville, Kentucky, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. On October 21, 1968, in Buffalo, New York, he was born to Mary E. Fleishaker McCay, whose husband Robert Charles McCay had passed away, and the late Robert Charles McCay. Robert was a well-liked member of his family as a cherished father, husband, son, and uncle. Both the First Baptist Church and the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors counted him as a member at one point. He had a genuine concern for his patients, his employees, and the community at large. He was a huge lover of Pearl Jam, fantasy sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Penn State Nittany Lions. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children playing mini-golf, watching sports with his mother, and preparing meals for his wife. He is left by his wife, Marina Young McCay of Madisonville; two daughters, Jordan (Gatlin) Carrier of Louisville, Kentucky and Madeline (Brennan Olesh) McCay of Lexington, Kentucky; one son, Jon McCay of Madisonville; and one sister, Erin Cruther. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. Funeral services will be held at the Barnett Strother Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM, and Dr. Joe Leonard will preside over the ceremony. After the service, burial will take place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. At the funeral home, visitation will take place on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and on Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Gatlin Carrier, Brennan Olesh, Mike Gaal, Ryan Long, Tim Young, and Steven Puckett will serve as the pallbearers for this event.
