Stephen Honeywood, the current Town Reeve, has known Mr. Allen for more than 40 years, and he has stated that it has been a pleasure to work with him over those years.I am grateful for the opportunity to register our thanks, on behalf of all those who knew and worked with Roger, since his participation with the town of Bungay over such a long period of time has been substantial, and I am happy for the opportunity to do so. “He will be greatly missed,” he remarked about the deceased person. The recognition of his significant contributions to the organization was extended by the president of the Rotary club, Town Sprake. According to Mr. Sprake, “Roger was an important member of the Bungay Rotary Club for many years, serving as secretary for 23 of those years.” “He was a dedicated Rotarian who was well organized, and without his support and counsel as secretary, successive presidents would have found their responsibilities to be much more difficult. “He led each and every one of us through. “At our weekly lunches and other events, we already miss him a great deal, and his absence will certainly leave a significant void in the life of the club.” After a long and courageous battle with Motor Neurone Disease, Mr. Allen passed away one month ago.
