Stephen Cargill Obituary, Stephen Cargill has died joy anchie, August 8, 2023 Stephen Cargill Obituary Death – On August 1st, 2023, Stephen Warren Cargill, who was 74 years old, passed away. He was recently given a diagnosis of lymphoma in addition to his existing condition of pulmonary fibrosis. He was going through cancer treatment at the time, but the chemotherapy ended up being too taxing on his body, so he was sent to hospice care, and he passed away not long after that. Stephen, also known as Steve, was an athlete who enjoyed working out, playing baseball, and, later in life, slow pitch softball. As an adult, he played slow pitch softball. In the 1980s, the Dallas Times Herald gave him the nickname “Big Bopper” when he won a home run hitting contest and received the title of “Home Run Champion. ” He put in a lot of hours driving a fork lift for Safeway, Eckerd’s, and CVS, but in his spare time, he coached my brother and me in baseball and instilled in us a love for the sport. In addition to his passion for sports, Steve was an accomplished singer and guitarist in his spare time. When Brian and I were younger, he would frequently perform for us by singing and playing the guitar. This was a common event. In addition to that, he instilled in us from a very young age a love for God; we shall miss him very much. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a contribution to the Special Olympics in Steve’s honor. My brother Brian and I will be holding a memorial service for our father in the coming days with our closest friends and family members, and we will cherish every memory we have of him. Obituary
