Steven Pond Obituary, Death – In the age of 48, Steven M. Pond, a resident of Geneva, passed away suddenly in Geneva General Hospital on the morning of Sunday, August 23, 2020. On Monday, August 31, 2020, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., friends and family are welcome to call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, which is located at 181 North Main Street in Geneva.

The funeral services will be held at the Clifton Springs Methodist Church on Tuesday, at one o’clock in the afternoon. Oaklawn Cemetery will be used for the interment service because it is most convenient for the family. Steven was born in Geneva, and he has lived there for the entirety of his life.

He was the son of Thomas Bowen Pond and Janet Bowen Pond, who both passed away before him. He worked at the F. F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua throughout his time in the area. Wrestling and cats were two of his favorite things. He is survived by his wife, Christina; his sons, Samuel, of Geneva, and Zachary, of Ovid; his brothers, George and J. R. Pond; his sisters, Loris Russ, Cheryl Preston, Jackie Pond, Barbara Gray, and Lisa Pond; a special niece named Diana; a great nephew named Tariq; great nieces Nalani and Nayela; and a number of other nieces and nephews. He was married to Christina.
