Taylor Matthews Obituary, Native Of San Antonio TX Taylor Matthews Has Passed On joy anchie, August 2, 2023 Taylor Matthews Obituary, Death – After a five year struggle with cancer, Taylor Anne Matthews entered into eternal life in Göttingen, Germany. She was an Edgemont High School 11th grader. She experienced more life and love in her brief 16 years than most people have in their entire lifetime. Every person she encountered and every location she visited saw a slight change as a result, and both were significantly improved. She had an unfathomable level of focus on her objectives and drive to succeed for such a young child, and yet her only competitor was herself and the standards she established for herself. She completed what she set out to do and succeeded. Taylor excelled academically, was a gifted athlete, a gifted painter, a gifted poet, and possessed autonomous thought. Most significantly, she had a strong sense of loyalty for her loved ones. When she was diagnosed with cancer at age 11, she immediately started raising money to help childhood cancer research. She established tay-bandz Inc. as a Non Profit, 501(c)3 organization with the sole purpose of raising money for pediatric cancer research. She supported programs at Columbia Presbyterian, MD Anderson, NY University Medical Center, Westchester Medical Center, and other important hospitals as well as Memorial Sloan Kettering. While receiving treatment, she raised close to $600,000 before passing away. Taylor did not make a single complaint about the load she carried during the savagery of her operations and therapies. She overcame each challenge and setback with renewed vigor. She was an inspiration to other patients, both adult and kid, as well as to parents, teachers, doctors, relatives, friends, and complete strangers. Obituary
