Mone, III, age 53, a beloved member of the Quincy community, passed away on the dismal Monday, March 21, 2019, at the Radius Specialty Hospital in Roxbury. His demise was reported. He was the son of the late Eileen (Mahoney) Mone McDonald and Thomas J. Mone, Jr., both of Newton. He was given his mother’s name, who died. Thomas spent his formative years in the vibrant city of Boston before being fostered in the cozy embrace of Stoughton, but he has called Quincy his home for the better part of a decade. After completing his secondary education at Stoughton High School, Thomas enrolled at Southern Methodist University in Dartmouth to further his studies. He continued his study, receiving degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and subsequently Quincy Junior College. His interest in learning was remarkable, and he shown an exceptional level of dedication to his studies. Thomas’s health made it challenging for him to go about his daily activities, but one of his hobbies—collecting stamps and coins—gave him immense pleasure and allowed him to follow his inclinations. His loved ones appreciated him for the unique qualities that made him who he was because he was a kind and trustworthy guy. Thomas’ father, Thomas J. Mone, Jr., and his four siblings, Daniel P. Mone of Stoughton, Jeanne M. Naphen of North Easton, Ronald J. Mone of South Easton, and Dennis S. Mone of Marshfield, continue to carry on Thomas’ legacy. The youngest of the Mone children was Thomas. He also held a very unique place in the hearts of his niece Renee and nephew Robert Naphen. Obituary
