Tyler Davis Missing, Man Missing Nearly 3 Years Declared Dead joy anchie, August 9, 2023 Tyler Davis Missing – A Clinton County court has concluded that a local man who went missing nearly three years ago in Columbus is legally dead. According to Clinton County Probate Court records, Tyler Davis was pronounced a “presumed decedent” by Judge Chad L. Carey on December 15, 2021. A civil complaint claiming his death was filed in October. Lauren Raizk, the attorney defending Tyler Davis’ wife, Brittany Davis, forwarded the “statute for a presumption of death proceeding pursuant” to the News Journal. A person is legally declared dead after going unaccounted for for five years, or “when the person has disappeared and been continuously absent from the person’s place of last domicile without being heard from and was at the beginning of the person’s absence exposed to a specific peril of death, even though the absence has continued for less than a five-year period.” Tyler Davis of Wilmington has been missing since he was last seen on February 24, 2019, at the Hilton Easton Town Center in Columbus. Davis, then 29, drove to Columbus with his wife, Brittany Davis, to celebrate her birthday. He left their hotel at three a.m. to go for a walk and never returned. Tyler’s family and friends disseminated flyers and searched for news on social media and in local Columbus media. Volunteers created the “Bring Tyler Davis Home” website, https://www.bringtylerdavishome.com, which in 2019 includes the following information (clearly written by his wife): Tyler Davis was last seen outside the Hilton Hotel in Columbus, Ohio’s Easton Town Center on February 24, 2019, around 3:20 a.m. Tyler wore dark blue slacks, a white T-shirt, a green and blue flannel, and black, white, and gray Nikes. Tyler stands 5’10” and weighs 170 pounds. Tyler is 29 years old. He has brown hair and dark eyes. Tyler is in excellent health. Tyler was on the go. Tyler has a crimson birthmark on his right arm that continues up his neck, chest, and right hand. Our credit cards and bank cards have never been used. “Nothing has been posted on any of his social media profiles.” Tyler would not simply up and leave. Our young son has a wonderful father in him.
