United Kingdom: Andy Davies Obituary, Giffnock Soccer Coach, Committee Member And Ambassador Has Died joy anchie, August 9, 2023 Andy Davies Obituary, Death – Andy Davies was a wonderful representative of the club, having worked there in the past as both a coach and a member of the executive committee. The news of his departure has left us completely astonished and unspeakably heartbroken. Andy brought his grandson to the Soccer Centre, where, in the same way as the bulk of the coaches do, he was “encouraged” to assist with the instruction of the younger kids. Andy also accompanied his grandson. He did this with a great deal of zest and made sure that the children were always encouraged to play in a light-hearted manner. After that, he joined our committee, which proved to be an enormous asset in acquiring the licenses we required for our indoor sessions, and he was a member of our committee. In recent years, he has been able to be found at his work as Ambassador at Eastwood, where he spends each Saturday morning welcoming customers and employees. Andy’s zeal was the primary factor that contributed to his success in convincing a sizeable number of parents to take on the role of coaches for the group. As a consequence of this, the club was able to increase the number of positions that it had open to accommodate children that spanned a larger range of ages and levels of expertise. Andy exhibited the values upon which the club was founded and which it continues to function to this day during the course of his more than 20 years of service as a volunteer. Our condolences and prayers go out to his grieving family as well as the many friends and loved ones he leaves behind. The cremation service for Andy will take place at the Linn Crematorium on Monday, August 14, at eleven in the morning. Obituary
