William Eberle Obituary, Lakewood, OH, William Eberle has died joy anchie, August 9, 2023 William Eberle Obituary, Death – After a relatively short battle with leukemia, William S. Eberle, age 60, set out on his voyage on the Monday, August 7, 2023. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio on June 4, 1963. His parents, Frederick and Loretta “Laurie” (Jarosz) Eberle, passed away before he was born. In 1981, he received his high school diploma from Port Clinton High School. As a Field Collector for First Energy in Lindsey, Ohio, he was one of the company’s employees. Bill represented a variety of things to a variety of people. The former Mayor of the Village of Oak Harbor, he also served on the Village Council; he was a member of the St. Boniface Finance Committee; he was a member of Council 1944 of the Knights of Columbus and served as Financial Secretary; and the job that he loved the most was being Santa Claus for a large number of children, including those who participated in the Knights of Columbus and Lights at North Coast (Monsoon Lagoon). He had a lot of friends since he was such a terrific friend. His devoted wife of 32 years, ShirLee, as well as his two additional children, Stephanie Ried and Joshua (Courtney) Morse, as well as his grandchildren, Xavier and Xander Ried, Mason, Maverick, Kenley, and Ainsley Morse, will carry on his legacy. He will be greatly missed. His parents, his brother Joseph C. Eberle, and a large group of his grandparents, aunts, and uncles were there to greet him when he arrived. Visitation will be held on the evening of Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 4pm until 8pm at the Oak Harbor Chapel of Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Services at the graveside and information about the burial will be shared at a later time. Donations to the Knights of Columbus or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society can be made in lieu of flowers to honor the deceased’s memory.
