William Silvenus Trevains was a member of the club for many years. As can be seen in the pictures below, Silvenus was an outstanding goalkeeper for St. Just in the 1960s and 1970s, during which time the club won a number of trophies. As we struggle through the darkest depths of our grief, we find some measure of consolation in honoring Aubrey Howling’s life and work. In the midst of our loss, let us remember the times we spent with, the things we discovered from him, and the mark he made not only on AbbeyPrint but on the world. His legacy will be carried on in perpetuity through the tales that are told, the goods that are created, and the gratitude felt by all those who had the opportunity of working alongside him. AbbeyPrint, which he worked at for an astounding 51 years, is inextricably linked to the history of Aubrey Howling, who worked there for the majority of his professional life. Because of his unwavering dedication and amazing work ethic, he was able to become an indispensable component in the process that molded the organization. Aubrey’s presence provided as both a source of motivation and a demonstration of the long-lasting impact that an individual can have on a company, beginning with the early days of his career and continuing until his retirement in June, which was richly deserved. Not only by his coworkers, but also by members of the larger community who had the honor of knowing Aubrey, the void left by Aubrey’s passing will be keenly felt. His contributions had an impact far beyond the four walls of the office; they changed people’s lives, forged new memories, and etched an everlasting mark on the hearts of those who had the good fortune to cross paths with him. When we think of Aubrey Howling, we try to remember him in the same way that he lived his life: with dedication, loyalty, and a spirit that never gave up. The impact of his life, which he led with a sense of purpose, will be felt long after the years he spent earning a living. This is the lesson his legacy teaches us. It’s in the relationships that are built, the friendships that are established, and the respect that is earned. Obituary
