William “W.J.” DeSpain Obituary, William “W.J.” DeSpain has sadly passed away joy anchie, August 2, 2023 William “W.J.” DeSpain Obituary, Death – On the 31st of July, 2023, Jared DeSpain, who had been a resident of Cadiz, Kentucky all of his life, passed away in the Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz at the age of 46. Born on January 26, 1977 in the city of Henderson in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, he was the son of Gayl DeSpain of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and the late William “W.J.” DeSpain. His father predeceased him. Before he retired from both his roles as a deputy sheriff in Todd County and a deputy jailer in Christian County, he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. Prior to that, he had served as a deputy sheriff in Todd County. Both the Trigg-Lyon Volunteer Fire Department and the One Church in Cadiz, where he was a member of the congregation, considered Jared to be a dedicated member of their respective organizations In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Stephanie DeSpain of Cadiz; his three sons, Joseph (Jessica) DeSpain of Princeton, KY, Daniel (Jessica) DeSpain of Cadiz, and Austin (Brittany) Pugh of Princeton; his daughter, Danielle Rogers of Glasgow, KY; his five grandchildren, Rylee, Penelope, Ausher, Ava, and Deacon; and his brother Patrick ( There will be a memorial service held in celebration of Jared’s life at One Church in Cadiz, which can be found at 96 Roger Thomas Road. The service is scheduled to take place on the Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The service is going to be presided over by Pastor Will Heck. The wake will begin at one in the afternoon and continue all the way up until the time of the funeral service. The preparation of the appropriate arrangements will be handled by the Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., which can be found at 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
